(GANANOQUE, ONTARIO) Wake up your taste buds, Gananoque! The YIPIs (Youth In Policing Initiative) are going all out to give you the breakfast deal of the season. On Friday, August 16, get ready to sit down to a mouth watering all you can eat pancake breakfast to be held at the Lou Jeffries Recreation Centre, 600 King Street East in Gananoque. Running from 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m., tickets are $5 apiece at the door. All proceeds will benefit the Positive Opportunity Partnerships for kids (POP) programme.
The Vision Statement for the Gananoque Recreation POP for Kids reads: “that all children and youth in Gananoque have the opportunity to participate in sport, culture, arts & recreation activities for the purpose of enhancing self-esteem and promoting healthy lifestyles through skill development, increased knowledge and personal growth.
“Through the P.O.P. application process eligible families are then able to register their child (or children) in these programs at the reduced program cost. In some situations when the reduced program cost is still outside the family’s financial range, P.O.P. will make up the cost difference.”
So forget the calories and come on out to support a great cause. Your tummy will be glad you did.
