Hard as it may be to believe, Jon Abrams is putting Gananoque on the map in ways he never imagined. Having made the top ten with his song, “For the Love of the Game”, he now needs all of our votes to finish getting it to number one.

“(The final) voting ends Dec 30 at 11:59 pm, so we need all the PLAYS and VOTES and SHARES we can stick handle before the buzzer goes to end period 3,” says Nancy Abrams, Jon’s mother. “It’s been a terrific team effort throughout…. Thank you everyone for your great support.”

Youtube views of the song are up to 5,823 and CBC music now has him at 2,443 views. But he still needs your votes to get him over the top.

Voting is easy. Go to http://music.cbc.ca/#/artists/Jon-Abrams and follow instructions. You can vote once a day until closing, and make a hometown boy and his hockey song number one in Canada.

“Just click on the link, scroll down a bit and you’ll see a blue button that says ‘VOTE FOR THIS ARTIST’,” says Jon.
