PGA TOUR Canada – May 27, 2014
It is with great sadness that we learned of the passing of Richard “Dick” Grimm last evening.
While Dick made an impact across nearly all levels as an ambassador for golf in Canada, it is his many contributions that helped grow the game and expand the TOUR’s profile as Commissioner of PGA TOUR Canada that we are remembering fondly.
In his role as Commissioner from 1993-1997, Dick enhanced the TOUR’s role and impact in Canadian golf, and saw storied players such as Steve Stricker and Mike Weir pass through the TOUR on their way to stardom.
We extend our condolences to the Grimm family and the unlimited number of friends that Dick made over the years, and wish them the very best in remembering him fondly.
To honor Dick’s memory, PGA TOUR Canada players and tournament officials will wear black ribbons at this week’s PC Financial Open at Point Grey G&CC in Vancouver, B.C.
