Gananoque, ON — (September 9, 2013) The 1000 Islands Gananoque Chamber of Commerce is proud to announce and welcome Rosalyn Gambhir as Youth Intern. Rosalyn will be responsible for the development of the Chamber of Commerce and Tourism websites, bringing both sites up-to-date visually and technically, developing a user friendly interface, increasing awareness of member businesses, upcoming events and bringing awareness of member businesses. Funding was generously provided by the Thousand Islands Community Development Corporation.
At the age of 24, she is a Computer Engineering graduate of Queen’s University. Rosalyn joins our Chamber of Commerce having previously been employed at PrintFleet as Business Analyst/Marketing Coordinator for a short-term along with Queen’s University within the Faculty of Engineering and Applied Science for the Aboriginal Access to Engineering Program as Program Assistant. Her passions include creative writing and public relations highlighted through her personal blog and work as a contributing writer. Her surrounding sparks her creativity while experiencing what her community has to offer through ‘staycationing’ and hopes to convey this through her work at the 1000 Island Gananoque Chamber of Commerce.

The 1000 Islands Gananoque Chamber of Commerce has the task of promoting business, industry and a sense of community within an area that almost self. The Chamber covers Gananoque and the Township of Leeds and the Thousand Islands, including the villages of Seeleys Bay, Lyndhurst, Lansdowne, Rockport and Ivy Lea and all points in between. The formal object of the 1000 Islands Gananoque Chamber of Commerce is to promote and improve trade and commerce and the cultural, civic and social well-being of the district served by this organization.
