PGA TOUR Canada announces plans for 2014 Qualifying Tournament

PGA Tour Canada – Three Qualifying tournaments to take place in Spring 2014

(October 9, 2013 – Oakville, ON and Ponte Vedra Beach, FL) – PGA TOUR Canada Qualifying will take place in Canada and the US next spring, with three separate 72-hole tournaments set for Spring 2014.

Players will have an opportunity to qualify for the Tour at one of three sites, with fields of 132 players maximum teeing it up at sites in the Southeastern and Southwestern United States in April, and a Canadian site in May. The top 18 players at each site will earn exempt status for 2014, with players finishing 19th through 40th plus ties earning conditional status.

“By having three qualifying tournament sites next Spring, a tremendous number of players from around the world will have the opportunity to try and earn status for PGA TOUR Canada in 2014,” said PGA TOUR Canada President Jeff Monday. “We look forward to seeing the next generation of players to make an impact on this Tour and beyond to the next level.”

The dates, sites and entry fees for each Qualifying Tournament will be announced at a later date.
