(Gananoque, ON) Have you ever wanted to just get above it all, look down on the world from above, and forget your cares and worries as you glide through the air, as free as a bird?
The time has come to make that dream a reality as 1,000 Islands Helicopter Tours holds its grand opening on Saturday, May 17. Starting at 11:00 a.m., they will be celebrating the season at the heliport situated at 88 County Road 32 in Leeds and the Thousand Islands (greater Gananoque).
“The day will include a barbecue, live music, face painting and more,” says Ewelina Sobala of 1,000 Islands Helicopter Tours. “Proceeds from this event will be donated to the Canadian Cancer Society.”
The ribbon cutting is scheduled for noon, and the entire event is family friendly. For more information, please go to http://www.1000islandshelicoptertours.com/ or call 1.855.855.HELI (4354) (local calls at 613.382.3888).

Hi Lorraine this is really intersting as it’s right across from the shelter. Wondering if the cats will freak out at the noise, or be thrilled with something new to look at. Arlene
