Hard as it may be to believe, Jon Abrams is putting Gananoque on the map in ways he never imagined. Having made the top ten with his song, “For the Love of the Game”, he now needs all of our votes to finish getting it to number one.

“(The final) voting ends Dec 30 at 11:59 pm, so we need all the PLAYS and VOTES and SHARES we can stick handle before the buzzer goes to end period 3,” says Nancy Abrams, Jon’s mother. “It’s been a terrific team effort throughout…. Thank you everyone for your great support.” – to read more>

Faces in he Crowd

(GANANOQUE, ON) The early snow lent a perfect backdrop on November 30 as Gananoque held its annual Santa Claus parade down King Street East. Six blocks of carollers, floats, bands and marchers lit up the night, as hundreds of people gathered to cheer them on. Free hot chocolate was handed out to by-standers, and Santa and two of his reindeer took time after the parade to meet with local children. This was on the heels of a successful teddy bear toss held by the Gananoque Jr. B Islanders, in partnership with the Gananoque BIA and Big Bass Challenge. A first annual event, it was designed to benefit many local children. – to read more>
