PGA TOUR Canada – Award handed out at season-ending Tour Championship of Canada presented by Freedom 55 Financial

(September 15, 2013 – London, ON) Mackenzie Hughes of Dundas, Ontario was named the Freedom 55 Financial Canadian Player of the Year on Sunday at the Sunningdale Golf & Country Club, finishing as the top Canadian on the 2013 PGA TOUR Canada Order of Merit and earning a $10,000 prize courtesy of Freedom 55 Financial.

The 22-year old finished with $52,114.29 in earnings on the season, highlighted by a victory at the Cape Breton Celtic Classic. Hughes finished first overall on the Order of Merit and will have exempt status on the Web.com Tour in 2014. – to read more>

(September 15, 2013 – London, ON) – Five PGA TOUR Canada players earned Web.com Tour cards for 2014 on Sunday, with Mackenzie Hughes, Riley Wheeldon, Mark Hubbard, Hugo Leon and Wil Collins all finishing in The Five.

Hughes, a native of Dundas, Ontario finished atop the Order of Merit with $52,114.29 and earned fully exempt status, while Wheeldon, Hubbard, Leon and Collins will have highly placed status on the path to the PGA TOUR next season. – to read more>
