PGA TOUR Canada announces the Forces and Families Open

PGA Tour Canada – Hylands Golf Club in Ottawa to host PGA TOUR Canada event in 2014

(September 26, 2013 – Ottawa, ON) – PGA TOUR Canada announced Thursday that it will be coming to the National Capital Region in 2014 with the Forces and Families Open in Ottawa.

The Forces and Families Open, which will support the Military Families Fund, will take place August 4-10, 2014 at Hylands Golf Club in Ottawa, Ontario. Forces and Families, a volunteer organization founded in 2007 that supports the men and women of the Canadian Armed Forces and their families, will serve as the host organization for the tournament. – to read more>

PGA TOUR Canada announces Thunder Bay Golf Classic

PGA TOUR Canada – (September 17, 2013 – Thunder Bay, Ontario) – PGA TOUR Canada will be launching a new event at Whitewater Golf Club in Thunder Bay next season, it was announced Tuesday.

The three-year agreement will see the Thunder Bay Golf Classic take place at Whitewater Golf Club July 14-20 2014, and will feature some of Canada’s biggest names, up-and-coming stars, established veterans and international standouts. – to read more>

Freedom 55 Financial honours Mackenzie Hughes as top Canadian player on PGA TOUR Canada

PGA TOUR Canada – Award handed out at season-ending Tour Championship of Canada presented by Freedom 55 Financial

(September 15, 2013 – London, ON) Mackenzie Hughes of Dundas, Ontario was named the Freedom 55 Financial Canadian Player of the Year on Sunday at the Sunningdale Golf & Country Club, finishing as the top Canadian on the 2013 PGA TOUR Canada Order of Merit and earning a $10,000 prize courtesy of Freedom 55 Financial.

The 22-year old finished with $52,114.29 in earnings on the season, highlighted by a victory at the Cape Breton Celtic Classic. Hughes finished first overall on the Order of Merit and will have exempt status on the Web.com Tour in 2014. – to read more>
